IV St. Petersburg International Legal Forum
On June 18-21, 2014 over 3000 delegates from 79 countries attended IV St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, including 55 official delegations. The business programme included the Plenary Session and 50 discussion sessions. The Plenary Session was held on the new stage of the Mariinsky Theatre. The discussion sessions took place in the East Wing of the General Staff Headquarters Building.
The list of cultural events included the first night performance of Russian classical music in the Mariinsky theatre featuring opera and ballet stars, and the Gala Dinner in the premises of the Peter and Paul Fortress during the Scarlet Sails Show.
The St. Petersburg International Legal Forum is the first and only platform of its kind for discussing the most pressing current legal issues relating to worldwide social and economic challenges. The Forum’s primary mission is to promote ideas for modernizing the law in response to global changes. Ministers of Justice, Chairmen of Supreme Courts, General Secretaries of international organizations, in-house attorneys of leading companies and other members of the international legal community participate in the Forum every year.
